We were expected to win.
There was a lot of pressure on us, but we have the most experience, we have trained well, we knew our system and we knew how to play, so we just played well.”
Kurt Schall, a former Russian soccer star who is now an Olympic director for the United States, on the team’s ability to play at a high level: “”It is hard to believe that the Russians won gold with just one player. “

Kurt Schall, a former Russian soccer star who is now an Olympic director for the United States, on the team’s ability to play at a high level: “”It is hard to believe that the Russians won gold with just one player.
It was a great accomplishment.
It shows that the athletes have good concentration, are very disciplined, and are extremely motivated to win.”
Dmitry Ryabkov, a sports journalist, on how the Russian athletes have adapted to their environment and to the national competition: “(I’m) so happy that the women have been able to come to the Olympics.
I think it is a very important development.
The team is much more balanced now, especially with the women, and the Russian national team is not in the position it was before the Olympics.”
Anna Mironova, the head of the Olympic organizing committee, on her comments after the medal-winning women’s basketball team’s loss to Latvia: I do not think that we are too far away from the situation of the team in the 2020 Games.
The Russians will be ready for that.
Mironova said the team had a good preparation for the Games, and that it was a strong team.
She said they were not afraid of the competition, which was a good thing.
In general, Mironov said, Russia was a very strong team, but she said she was not so sure that they would be the gold-medal winners in the women’s team.
But I think that the medal will go to the team.” “
I am not so confident.
But I think that the medal will go to the team.”
Alexander Mironovich, the Russian basketball player who won a bronze medal in Rio, said after the women won gold that the national Olympic team should have taken a step forward this time.

It is a special moment, a moment that I can never forget,” Mironenko said.

But it took some time.
“It took about two months to get to that stage,” Zhukovsky said.
He added that the group of players that Russia assembled was good, but the individual players were not.
